What limits apply to 4d2.org email accounts?

Content and Use Limitations

Email accounts are for personal, non-commercial use only, and use of automated systems (including scripts) to send email is not allowed without prior approval by the admin team. User accounts found sending bulk or unsolicited email will be disabled.

Storage Limits

Email accounts have a storage limit of 1 GiB. A higher quota can be requested and may be approved if special circumstances apply.

If your email account goes over the quota, you will still receive messages, but will be unable to send messages until you delete some data.

The quota provided is enough for several thousand typical email messages, including small attachments. Since live mail storage is expensive for us, if you want to maintain a persistent archive of your email, we recommend creating a local folder using your preferred offline email client and archiving your mail there. You can also open a ticket and request an archive of all or part of your data (in maildir format).
