If I donate to you, how do I know the money is being used responsibly?
All Computers Are Brilliant, Inc. currently has a bronze transparency rating with Candid, a third-party nonprofit information service. As a small nonprofit with an annual budget under $50,000, we're not required to file detailed tax returns. To provide added transparency to our user community in light of this, we issue an annual report after the end of each fiscal year that details our income and expenses, including anonymized details of the donations we've received.
We are staffed entirely by volunteers. Our bylaws additionally prohibit any of our Board of Directors from being paid for their work. All money you donate goes directly to our operating expenses like server leases, telecom expenses, regulatory compliance costs, payment processing fees, etc.
As a 501(c)(3) public charity, there are strict laws about how we can accept donations and spend money. Our fiduciary duty to the company requires us to be responsible stewards of your donation.
