If I donate to you, how do I know the money is being used responsibly?

We provide financial transparency to our users through an annual report at year-end that details our finances and the donations we've received (anonymized in the report, of course).

We run an all-volunteer staff. Our bylaws prohibit any of our Board of Directors from being paid for their work, and our technical staff are all volunteers. All money you donate goes directly to our operating expenses like server leases, software licenses, payment processing costs, etc.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, there are also strict laws about how we can accept donations and spend money. We would violate those laws, and our fiduciary duty to the company, if we didn't act as responsible stewards of your donation.
